DETAILED REVIEW!

Graphics: I guess the graphics were okay, they were sprites. Also, it probably wouldn't kill you if you spaced the text for the mario font, because it just looks bad when they connect.

Sound: I'd reccomend using real Mario music if you're going to make a mario game. Your music was just plain irritating; irritating enough to make me turn off my speakers. Also, in your game, when you die the music continues and plays the death sound at the same time *NOT GAME-LIKE!* In the first Bowser's Castle stage, the music only loops once. And at one random point in the game, Mario's jump made noise!

Interactivity: Why is it so that you can barely move when you jump? You can only move like 2 Mario-lengths when you jump. What's with the kill count *which doesn't work sometimes*? That's not very Mario-like. Also, why aren't there mushrooms?!...And it wouldn't hurt if Mario wasn't taking a lesiure walk...As in, enable running. Also, it would be easier on your hands if the up button was jump. You have infinite lives...what's up with that...Speaking of lives, you die when tou leave teh screen? What's with that?

Style: Not like this hasn't been done before.

Violence: Stepping on goombas is pretty damn hardcore violence, and why the hell can't you kill some enemies?! That's just stupid!! It would help a lot if it was possible to tell what kind of enemies are killable, so you don't have to waste a life for no good reason. Also, since when are fuzzies killable? Speaking of that fuzzie stage/area thing, stepping on the second fuzzy would respawn the first one, and it was unkillable. The spinning spiky balls in Bowser's castle were too deadly; if you stand about one Mario length away from it, you die.

Humor: HAHA IT'S MARIO.

There were a lot of problems in this game...For example, enemies don't patrol a certain area, they just walk until they reach a cliff, and then fall off or turn around. I personally think starting with 30 lives is overdoing it. What's with the Piranha plants shooting out of the ground? Don't they come out of pipes in SMW? Like you said in your author's comments, people say it's too hard? It isn't hard. It's frustrating because it is so poorly explained and filled with bugs and glitches. It would also be a good idea if there were a purpose to collecting coins.

In conclusion, this game could've been a WHOLE LOT better. Nintendo frowns upon you.

F*CKIN SWEET!

This is by far one of the best flash games I have ever played. I loved how the weapons were cumulative so you could have like 5 :D. It was a little easy though.

Well...It was definately innovative...

The only problem was that it had way too much static, and either my mic was too strong, or my breathing created obnoxious noises (did I spell that right? :P). Well, it certainly was a good idea...

"Finally! I never thought this tunnel would never end." wtf?! Does that mean that he knew that the tunnel would end? Because that's what you said...

There were quite a few problems, if you were trying to make it a metal slug game...
-You can jump waay too high
-To win all you have to do is push forward and keep pressing A, so it was way too easy.
-The animations weren't as fast/good as the real game
-The tank boss was extremely easy, all you had to do was stand behind it and it would shoot away from you, while you shot at it, so I never died.
-Is it just me, or is the helicopter invincible?

A lot of room for improvement

You could definately work on the graphics, because they kind of look like crap (no offense lol). Also, I highly reccomend adding music, it would beef up your game a lot. Lastly, don't make one-hit-kills, it makes the game too easy. Take examples from similar games such as "Defend Your Castle", "Demonic Defence 3 & 4 (1 and 2 sucked...)", and "Storm the House".

Music WOULD have been nice, and according to your theory of people wanting to listen to their own music, you could have made a mute button to the in-game music. Also, the graphics could've been better/softer. They kinda looked like jpegs made in MS Paint...Otherwise, good job.
